For the most part, we are all working, studying, and living at home. We are opening up our eyes and focusing on our four walls, certainly more than we ever did before. I would love to give some designer pointers that will be a quick fix to make your rooms pleasing to your eyes.
DON’T PUSH IT ALL UP AGAINST THE WALL
Lining up your furniture against the walls feels cold and the room feels too big and hollow.
* Float some pieces (bring off the wall and into the space)
* Create cozier spaces and this will naturally create better conversation
* Achieve balance in your room but it doesn’t have to be exactly symmetrical

ESTABLISH ZONES
Set up your furniture for your personal needs and not by what was dictated by the way the room was initially built.
Arrange your seating for:
* Having conversation
* Gathering around the fireplace
* Watching television

SEPARATE WORK FROM HOME
Whether it is your home office or your student’s home schooling space, keep it separate (if possible).
Please join the conversation and let me know your problem areas. I am looking forward to hearing from you and giving you my design expertise.
